Several years ago, my family and I moved to China. It was a new time zone, a new language, and a new culture. The hardest part was the new school, which started at 5:00 am and ended at 8:00 pm. Trying to learn a new language in an extremely competitive environment overwhelmed me. I could no longer rely on my typical study schedule. Reliance on God is what got me through these tough times. God became my strength in all aspects of my life including school. 

School challenges across the world made me grateful for where I am now. AHS is a great blessing and change from the heavily regimented experience I had in China. The inspiring teachers and friends I have here always uplift me. I came to love a new culture and at the same time gain a greater appreciation for the present.
