What is your favorite thing about American Heritage?

My favorite part of American Heritage School would personally be the honor code system. The honor code really helps students become more disciplined with how they look, speak to others, and the language they speak. The school system really influences students here at AHS to learn how to become independent and more resilient.  Respect is also a big part of why I love the school.  Despite being in different grades, we still respect each other and know how to act.

What are you most passionate about?

Some of the things I am most passionate about are fulfilling my goals and where I’m trying to go in life. I am also passionate about serving an honorable, full-time mission. As a priesthood holder, it has been one of my life goals to serve a full-time mission and be able to return with honor.

As a senior, what are you most looking forward to?

As a senior, I am obviously looking forward to graduating. I am also looking forward to serving a mission and going to college. It really stood out to me how fast my schooling years are coming to an end. However, it has been a fun ride being at American Heritage School, especially for my last year of high school. However, if I’m looking forward to something specific, I would say preparing for missionary service.  Serving a mission has always been my goal since Primary. I hope to fulfill my commitment and serve the Lord with all my heart, might, mind, and strength.

What is the best advice you could give someone starting high school?

High school is the place for improvement and focus. Going through failure doesn’t mean you’re bad at something, it is just a learning experience to bounce back from and do better. It is also a good idea to have fun too. But remember to keep your commitments to the school and whatever activities you may be in, but also put in EFFORT!! Effort is something teachers will recognize and appreciate. If you are giving 110% even if you don’t know what you’re doing, try your best and every problem/solution will get you a long way. Lastly, do not PROCRASTINATE! It is not worth it, trust me, I’ve been there!  HAHA.
